Yes, the PLAN3T app is free of charge for our users and always will be. We want to make sustainable consumption easy and affordable for you and help you to save money and CO2.

Planet Coins is our virtual currency in which you get paid your cashback. The value of a Planet Coin is equal to 0,01 €. Additionally, you will receive Planet Coins when you invite friends or read our tips and answer the quizzes.

You can use your earned Coins to redeem discounts and pay for discounted products. You can also donate them to climate protection projects, for example to plant trees.

After redeeming the Planet Coins in the app, the respective voucher codes are valid for 72 hours. After this period, the voucher code will no longer be displayed in the app. You should therefore be sure that you want to take advantage of the offer before redeeming your Planet Coins.

We exclusively work with non-profit organizations. We also attach great importance to high-quality certifications, such as the Gold Standard. This way, we can guarantee that our users achieve the greatest possible impact by donating their Planet Coins.

To avoid greenwashing on our platform, we have introduced a sustainability screening for all our partners. In this screening, each partner goes through a questionnaire on all the major topics around the triple bottom line: ecological, social, and economic sustainability. The data provided is checked internally and then a decision is made as to whether a partnership is possible or not. Soon we will make the screening process more transparent by showing brand ratings within the app.

The calculation of CO2 equivalents is based on your transaction data. We calculate how much CO2 your daily consumption decisions cause and show you on a monthly basis in which areas of daily life you consume how much CO2. The calculation is done with the help of our partner eco.income, whose scientific model is TÜV-certified.

You can connect one or more bank accounts to PLAN3T within a few minutes. Start the process from the PLAN3T app and use the same login information you use to log in to your online banking.

After connecting, you will need to confirm the link in your banking app. After three months you will need to renew the bank connection. You can remove the connection at any time.

Usually you will receive your cashback one day after you have paid at one of our partners, at the latest with the next bank run. This means that as soon as the transaction appears in your bank account, the cashback should also be paid out in the PLAN3T app.

We map the link to your bank account via the European Open Banking Standard (PSD).

The standard allows us to display the transactions from your linked bank account in the PLAN3T app. Based on this, we can calculate the CO₂ footprint of individual transactions and aggregate them into an overview by consumption area.
In addition, we can recognize your purchases from our partner companies and automatically reward you with Planet Coins.

Every 90 days, the banking integration must be reactivated in the app in a simple way. You can remove the integration at any time.

If you want to delete an account, you can easily do that via the settings (which you can reach via Feed by clicking on your avatar)

There you will find the entry "Delete account" at the bottom, which will delete all personal data.

Protecting your personal data is a top priority for us. We only store the transaction data linked to your bank account in pseudonymized and encrypted form on European servers. So you don't have to worry about your account details falling into the wrong hands.

We only use your account data (after you have linked your account) to automatically calculate your CO₂ footprint and credit you with Planet Coins for your sustainable purchases.
